Parents fight for truth 10 years after their children disappeared

Ten years have passed since 43 students from Ayotzinapa, Mexico – Los 43 – were detained and disappeared in one of the country’s most infamous human rights cases. Their parents, united in pain, have spent the decade searching for their children and challenging misinformation and indifference from those in power. On the tenth anniversary, as Mexico’s first female president is about to take office, I revisit the case while parents continue their protest.
